Leeds United star hit with three-match ban as FA release statement after Millwall flashpoint
Leeds United will be without the services of Junior Firpo for the next three Championship matches. The attacking left-back has been hit with a three-match suspension by the Football Association.
It is believed to be in relation to an off-the-ball incident deep into added on time of the Whites' 1-0 loss at Millwall in midweek. Firpo appeared to head-butt Danny McNamara inside the penalty area after United failed to make the most of a corner. The Dominican of Republic international had already been booked and TV footage shows that Lions boss Neil Harris was left incensed by the match officials failing spot the incident.
A Football Association statement read: ‘Leeds United’s Junior Firpo has been suspended for three matches following their EFL Championship fixture against Millwall on Wednesday, 6 November.

"The defender’s behaviour around the 95th minute wasn’t seen by the match officials, but was caught on video, and The FA alleged that it constitutes violent conduct.
"Junior Firpo denied the charge against him, but an independent Regulatory Commission subsequently found it to be proven and imposed this suspension.’
Firpo's ban begins today against Queens Park Rangers. He will also miss the trip to Swansea City and United's home clash with Luton Town on November 27 after the international break.
Former Barcelona defender Firpo has been a first team regular for the Whites this season. He started 13 out of their 14 Championship matches, scoring once.
Sam Byram is likely to deputise at left-back this afternoon as United look to return to winning ways.
