Leeds United’s line-up to face Preston North End has been confirmed by Daniel Farke this morning. There are two changes made to the side which beat Middlesbrough at Elland Road in the week.

Jayden Bogle is the big boost for the manager, returning at right-back after missing the midweek win. The number two was suffering with a muscle injury at the start of the week, but returns this afternoon.

Bogle’s return left Farke with a decision to make on Sam Byram or Max Wober at left-back, after they both played well against Middlesbrough. The former suffered with cramps and the latter with a swollen knee, but it is Byram who moves over to the left side.

Adfter another blistering performance in the week, Daniel James continues in the side. Manor Solomon is not recalled and faces a second consecutive start on the bench, with Largie Ramazani also remaining in the dugout.

Joel Piroe replaces Mateo Joseph in attack too. The selection means Joe Rodon is the only player still on for starting every match in all competitions this season for Leeds.

As ever, Alex Cairns is with the squad, but remains off the teamsheet. Today’s referee against the Lilywhites is John Busby, assisted by Mark Russell, Bhupinder Singh Gill and Will Finnie (fourth official).

Leeds United: Illan Meslier; Jayden Bogle, Joe Rodon, Pascal Struijk, Sam Byram; Ao Tanaka, Joe Rothwell; Daniel James, Brenden Aaronson, Wilfried Gnonto; Joel Piroe.

Substitutes: Karl Darlow, Ethan Ampadu, Patrick Bamford, Manor Solomon, Largie Ramazani, Mateo Joseph, Josuha Guilavogui, Isaac Schmidt, Max Wober.
