Lennon Miller Rangers transfer scouting mission revealed as Motherwell kid watched

Rangers scouts ran the rule over Motherwell's Lennon Miller last weekend.

Football Scotland understands the Ibrox outfit had representatives at Fir Park to take in the playmaker's first pre-season outing. The Steelmen beat Livingston 2-1 with the 17-year-old having a hand in the second goal. Gers are understood to be interested in the starlet who had a breakthrough campaign last season with 32 appearances in all competitions where he shone against Celtic and scored twice, against Elgin and East Fife respectively.

Light Blues manager Philippe Clement made it clear he wanted a squad revamp this term after allowing five stars to depart in the summer.

The club have already brought in a number of new faces for the coming season including the likes of Clinton Nsiala, Hamza Igamane, Oscar Cortes and Connor Barron. Liam Kelly and left-back Jefte are both also already in the door and a potential move for Miller would certainly fit the bill when it comes to buying younger players in a bid to sell on for big money down the line.

The midfielder is currently contracted to the 'Well until 2026 after penning an extension back in November which puts Stuart Kettlewell's outfit in a strong position should any club make an official move for the youngster.
