Leon Bailey injury update as Unai Emery gives Aston Villa team news ahead of RB Leipzig
Unai Emery has confirmed Leon Bailey will miss Aston Villa's Champions League clash against RB Leipzig on Tuesday, but he could return from his hamstring injury as soon as this weekend.
The winger suffered the problem in Villa's win over Southampton on Saturday. After chasing John McGinn's pass on a counter-attack, he knocked the ball out of play before sitting on the floor to get assistance from the medical staff.
"It is a very small injury," Emery explained. "He is not here for tomorrow. We will wait for the next match on Saturday. Jacob Ramsey is progressing very well, but he is still weeks (when he returns)."

Midfielder Amadou Onana returned to the matchday squad on Saturday after recovering from a foot injury which he picked up in the November international break.
Villa are targeting their fourth victory in the Champions League on Tuesday night after winning their first three matches in the league phase against BSC Young Boys, Bayern Munich and Bologna. They were defeated by Club Brugge 1-0 and then drew 0-0 against Juventus.
Villa are currently sitting one point outside the top eight of the league phase table on goals scored, behind Monaco. The Ligue 1 outfit will entertain Emery's side at the Stade Louis II on January 21, before Celtic head to Villa Park a week later on January 29.
