Lewis Ferguson was blanked by Rangers daft family as dad Derek recalls Aberdeen winner
Derek Ferguson has revealed son Lewis was BLANKED by his family after dumping Rangers out of the League Cup.
Former Aberdeen midfielder Ferguson - who is also the nephew of Ibrox legend Barry - stunned his boyhood club at Hampden in 2018 by popping up with a late winner to inflict a fifth consecutive semi-final defeat on the Light Blues. Gers diehard Derek - who lifted five trophies as a player in Govan - watched on from the Aberdeen end with Lewis' two brothers that day.
And while Dons fans erupted in celebration around them, the Ferguson family gave the former Hamilton Accies starlet pelters from the stands as Steven Gerrard's side were consigned to a shock 1-0 defeat.

Lewis - who is now starring in the Champions League with Italian side Bologna - was even given the cold shoulder by his two brothers when he returned home later that night. Appearing on the latest episode of Open Goal, dad Derek recalled: "We were giving him pelters in the Aberdeen section.
"He was getting it from me and the boys in the family section. We were giving him it. He got blanked when he came home that night. The boys weren't happy with him. When Lewis came in, his two brothers just blanked him. She [Lewis' mum] was happy, but she's happy-daft, isn't she?"
