College football scores, results: Georgia hangs on to beat Kentucky 13-12

We almost had a major upset on Saturday, but in the end, No. 1 Georgia held on to beat Kentucky, 13-12.

Saturday started chalky with No. 4 Alabama blowing out Wisconsin after Badgers QB Tyler Van Dyke suffered an injury on the opening drive. No. 6 Missouri continued that with a nervy come-from-behind home win over No. 24 Boston College.

No. 16 LSU also needed to rally on the road against South Carolina after falling behind 17-0 early. The Tigers did just that, earning a crucial SEC win as the Gamecocks' game-tying kick sailed wide as time expired.

In the later window, No. 2 Texas will be holding its breath after Heisman favorite Quinn Ewers went down with an abdominal injury early. Arch Manning stepped in and immediately showed why he was the top recruit in his class. He finished 9-for-12 for 223 passing yards, 4 passing touchdowns and one highlight-reel TD run in a runaway Texas win.

Perhaps the most notable result of the day was yet another disastrous Florida State loss.

Here are Week 3's winners and losers, highlighted by the biggest disappointments of the young season.
