Cowboys hold on to beat Giants in injury-filled game on Thursday Night Football
The Cowboys and Giants are off to rough 1-2 starts this season
The Dallas Cowboys are back in the win column, courtesy of the New York Giants.
In an ugly, injury-filled "Thursday Night Football" game, the Cowboys held on for a 20-15 win against their NFC East rivals. It is starting quarterback Dak Prescott's 13th straight win over New York.
The Dallas defense was the difference-maker. After back-to-back rough outings against the New Orleans Saints and Baltimore Ravens, the unit locked down the Giants run game, allowing 26 yards on the ground on 24 attempts, and forced quarterback Daniel Jones to air it out if he wanted to win.
Giants rookie Malik Nabers was up to the task, with 12 receptions for 115 yards, but few others were. Prescott, meanwhile, went 22-for-27 for 221 yards and two touchdowns, while CeeDee Lamb had 98 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Unfortunately, both teams were bit by the injury bug. Cowboys defensive standouts Micah Parsons, Trevon Diggs and DeMarcus Lawrence all left the game at different points with injuries, while Nabers was ruled out in the fourth quarter with a concussion.
Here's how it all went down on Yahoo Sports:

FINAL: Cowboys 20, Giants 15
It wasn't pretty, but the Cowboys bounce back against a Giants team that could move the ball, but couldn't break through when it mattered. Now, both teams take a deep breath and hope their stars are OK.

Brandon Aubrey misses a kick!
The Cowboys kicker is the best in the NFL and he just missed the first 50-plus yard field goal attempt of his career. The Giants will get the ball back on their own 41 with 28 seconds left.

Looking bleak for the Giants
The Giants are out of timeouts, the Cowboys got a fresh set of downs with less than three minutes to play and Nabers just went to the locker room.

This has been an injury filled game
Micah Parsons, Malik Nabers, Trevon Diggs, DeMarcus Lawrence. Parsons is now being carted off to the locker room, while Nabers is in the blue tent.

Giants stopped on fourth down, and Malik Nabers appears hurt
After three straight fourth down conversions, the Giants go for it one more time on 4th-and-6. Daniel Jones scrambles and finds Malik Nabers on the sideline, but Nabers can't hold onto the ball. And now Nabers looks hurt. Not the best few seconds for New York.

Cowboys 20, Giants 15
Kayvon Thibodeaux hits Dak Prescott on third down and helps force an incompletion, then Brandon Aubrey makes a 40-yard field goal. The Giants once again need a field goal in a game where they are only scoring field goals.

Decent company for Nabers
Malik Nabers is the third rookie since the 1970 merger with 10+ catches and 100+ receiving yards in a primetime game

Malik Nabers: 11 receptions on 13 targets for 113 yards
The rookie is once again balling out as the clear top option of the Giants offense. But that lack of a touchdown is looming large

Cowboys 17, Giants 15
The Giants make another field goal, this time a 42-yarder from Greg Joseph to go 5-for-5 on the game. New York has been moving well on offense, but they just can't break through for a TD. But hey, one more stop and a field goal gives them the lead.
- Jack Baer
Trevon Diggs down with an injury
It's unclear what happened during a tackle, but Cowboys CB Trevon Diggs is leaving the field with trainers after nursing his ankle. Looks like he's headed immediately to the locker room. That could be big with the way the Giants are looking for Nabers, whom Diggs was primarily covering.
- Jack Baer
Giants convert a 4th-and-3
Giants go for it on 4th-and-3 and Jones hits Nabers on a short route in front of Trevon Diggs. He's mostly kept the passes conservative, but this has been Jones' best game of the season.

Brandon Aubrey hits a 60-yard field goal
Cowboys' first drive of the second half sputters after a holding penalty on Tyler Guyton, pushing them back to the Giants' 42.
But with Brandon Aubrey's boomstick leg, they still get points. He hits a 60-yard field goal easily for a 17–12 Dallas lead.

From Frank Schwab:
Even in a league that has more excellent long-range kickers than ever, Aubrey stands out. He hit a 66-yard field goal in preseason at Las Vegas, and it would have been good from 72 yards according to the tracker. In Week 1 he was going to try a 66-yard field goal but there was a delay-of-game penalty. Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy contemplated trying a 71-yarder before being talked out of it.
