It took a perfect outing from Jared Goff, who even caught a touchdown pass himself, but the Detroit Lions fended off Geno Smith and the Seattle Seahawks on Monday night.
Goff was perfect in what was a wildly entertaining matchup. He went 18-of-18 for 292 yards and two touchdowns. He threw a 70-yard touchdown to Jameson Williams in the second half, and he caught a 7-yard pass from Amon-Ra St. Brown for a score himself.

Smith had a huge night, too. He threw for 395 yards and a touchdown in the loss for Seattle. DK Metcalf had 104 yards on seven catches, too.
In the first game of the night, it was Mason Rudolph — not Will Levis — who led the Tennessee Titans to their first win of the season. The Titans rolled to a dominant 31-12 win over the Miami Dolphins in South Florida, which moved them to 1-3 on the year. Rudolph replaced Levis early in the first quarter after he went down with an injury, and he carried the team the rest of the way. He finished going 9-of-17 for 85 yards. Tony Pollard ran for 88 yards and a score to seal the win late in the fourth quarter.
The Dolphins used third-string quarterback Tyler Huntley, as both Tua Tagovailoa and Skylar Thompson are dealing with various injuries. Huntley went 12-of-20 for 81 yards.

The state of the Dolphins' offense without Tua Tagovailoa is sad.
More from Frank Schwab on the first Monday Night Football game of the evening.
Hard to watch this Dolphins team. With a competent QB, it's one of the most interesting, fun teams in the NFL. This current version, without Tua, might be the most unwatchable in the NFL. https://t.co/2gut9D1bM1

Goff returns the favor
After Amon-Ra St. Brown threw one to him earlier in the night, it's only fair that Jared Goff returned the favor. The Lions are up by two scores again late in the fourth quarter.
Finally, the Dolphins have found the end zone. Tyler Huntley just punched in a 1-yard touchdown, but they missed the two-point conversion attempt. The Titans lead by 10 now with about three minutes left.
The Seahawks are absolutely keeping pace with Detroit this half. Kenneth Walker just punched in a 1-yard score to keep Seattle in this thing. The two-point conversion was no good, however, so it's an eight-point game.
That was the perfect start to the half for the Seahawks, who capped a long drive with a 9-yard touchdown catch from AJ Barner. It's now a one possession game in Detroit.
Seahawks open the second half with a 10-play, 75-yard TD drive
Titans: Will Levis: 3 of 4 for 25 yards, 1 interception Mason Rudolph: 8 of 14 for 79 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions
Dolphins: Tyler Huntley: 7 of 10 for 35 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions; 1 lost fumble
Titans coach Brian Callahan told ESPN he's unsure who will start at quarterback in the second half. If Will Levis is able to play with his injured shoulder, Callahan says that he'll play.
"We'll see how it comes out," Callahan said. ... "If he can play, he'll go."

A big break for the Dolphins in Miami. Dolphins special teamer Duke Riley tried to field a punt off a bounce. The Titans ripped the ball away and appeared to get a new set of downs in the red zone with 57 seconds remaining before halftime.
But officials determined that the Titans touched the ball first. Miami retains control.

And now it's Jahmyr Gibbs in the end zone. He joins his backfield mate David Montgomery with a touchdown to extend Detroit's lead to 14-0. A huge swing on the DK Metcalf fumble.

Here's the play where Levis appeared to get injured. Diving for a first down:
Will Levis appeared to be in some discomfort after this play and was evaluated in the medical tent.
There is no Mason Rudolph touchdown drive. Tennessee's drive stalls, and the Titans get on the board first with a 53-yard field goal by Nick Folk. Titans up 3-0 early in the second quarter.

If Mason Rudolph leads the Titans to a touchdown here and Will Levis turns out to be OK, what do the Titans do? Levis is throwing on the sideline like he's planning to come back in.

Mason Rudolph hands off to Tyjae Spears on his first snap. Will Levis is out of the medical tent. He's officially questionable to return with a shoulder injury.

There's another bad turnover by Will Levis. He threw the ball directly to Dolphins linebacker Emmanuel Ogbah. That's his sixth interception early in the fourth game of the season.

In an ideal world San Francisco wouldn't have let Seattle back in the game, it would be undefeated and be the talk of the NFL. This start hasn't been ideal but the 49ers are still pretty good.
