Liverpool make Alisson Becker and Diogo Jota decisions as squad named for Girona with seven missing
Alisson Becker has been named in the Liverpool squad that will be hosted by Girona in the Champions League on Tuesday evening but Diogo Jota misses out, despite training on Monday afternoon. Arne Slot and his players flew out to Spain on Monday afternoon with Brazil international Alisson in tow but Portugal star Jota will remain on Merseyside to continue his recovery process.
Alisson took part in Monday's open training session as he continued his recovery from a hamstring tear picked up in the second half of the 1-0 win against Crystal Palace back on October 5. The goalkeeper has missed 11 games in total and would have also sat out Saturday's Merseyside derby with Everton prior to the postponement due to Storm Darragh.
However the shot-stopper is in line for a recall at Estadi Montilivi as the Champions League leaders go in search of a sixth straight victory in the revamped competition. Caoimhin Kelleher has deputised in Alisson's absence but the No.1's inclusion hints at a first appearance for over two months on Tuesday evening.

Liverpool have taken a 19-man senior squad to Spain, which is four down on the usual contingent they travel with. Injuries to Conor Bradley, Ibrahima Konate and Kostas Tsimikas have limited the options defensively, while Alexis Mac Allister is suspended.
Tyler Morton had been primed to travel before a knock in training ruled him out and Federico Chiesa is ill, meaning he is unable to build on his hour-long cameo for the Under-21s last week against FC Nordsjaelland, a game he scored in.
Despite training with his colleagues on Monday, Jota has not flown as he awaits the green light for involvement once more. The striker has been absent since Chelsea centre-back Tosin Adaraiboyo landed awkwardly on him in the 2-1 victory for the Premier League leaders at Anfield back on October 20.
Liverpool's lack of senior options for the game means Slot may populate his bench with a handful of players from the junior ranks, with the club's Under-21s in action on Tuesday morning at Municipal de Vidreres.
Reds boss Slot and Ryan Gravenberch will speak to the media at 6.30pm UK time from Girona's Montilivi stadium.
Liverpool travelling squad: Alisson, Gomez, Endo, Van Dijk, Diaz, Szoboszlai, Nunez, Salah, Jones, Gakpo, Elliott, Robertson, Gravenberch, McConnell, Jaros, Kelleher, Alexander-Arnold, Norris, Quansah.
