Liverpool could be without four key players for Fulham as three more face anxious wait

Liverpool are back in Premier League action with the rarity of a 3pm home kick-off against Fulham on Saturday afternoon. And after the postponement of the Goodison derby last weekend, it could see the return of a number of players to the title race.

One who will definitely be involved is goalkeeper Alisson Becker, who was back after more than two months out with a hamstring tear to help the Reds earn a 1-0 Champions League win in Girona on Tuesday evening.

Diogo Jota wasn't in the travelling party to Spain but, after taking part in full training the day before, could be available for the matchday squad having not featured since suffering an impact injury to the upper body during the win over Chelsea in late October.

Another Liverpool forward, Federico Chiesa, has been training with the first team for a fortnight and took a significant step on his road to recovery by playing an hour for the under-21s last Wednesday where he scored in the 4-3 Premier League International Cup defeat to FC Nordsjaelland at the Academy in Kirkby.

However, the Italy international missed the game at Girona due to illness with the Reds waiting to see if he has recovered sufficiently for selection against Fulham. Midfielder Tyler Morton was also absent after suffering a knock and is a doubt for the weekend.

Liverpool will definitely be without four players for the game. Defenders Ibrahima Konate and Conor Bradley picked up knee and hamstring issues respectively during the Champions League win at home to Real Madrid last month, with both still in the early stages of their rehabilitation.

Kostas Tsimikas was on crutches pitchside during the Premier League win over Manchester City at the start of this month as he continues to recover from an ankle injury that has ruled the left-back of Liverpool's last five games.

Midfielder Alexis Mac Allister, meanwhile, is serving a one-match suspension having picked up a fifth booking of the Premier League season against Newcastle United last midweek. The Argentina international was absent against Girona while serving a similar ban in the Champions League after three bookings in the competition.
