Arne Slot recalled Andy Robertson to the Liverpool starting lineup against Aston Villa at Anfield this weekend. The left-back did not feature in the 2-1 win over Brighton and Hove Albion and only played ten minutes during the defeat of Xabi Alonso's Bayer Leverkusen.

Robertson, 30, has started just one of the Reds' four Champions League fixtures and only came on as a late substitute away at Crystal Palace last month. Not featuring in the Brighton game means he has already been unused in a Premier League matchday squad as often this season as across Jurgen Klopp's last two campaigns.

Kostas Tsimikas has rotated with the Scotland international. Robertson's fellow full-back has made just four fewer appearances this term.

Now, there are reports that the Reds want to sign a replacement for their long-time left-back. Here is a round-up of the latest Liverpool transfer rumours.

Reds 'desperate' for Robertson replacement

The Sunday Mirror describes the club as desperate to sign Bournemouth's Milos Kerkez as they reputedly plan to replace Robertson ahead of next season. Liverpool are said to be looking at a summer move, and the 21-year-old caught the eye by assisting both of Bournemouth's goals in their 2-1 win over Manchester City earlier this month.

Reds sporting director Richard Hughes signed the Hungary international for the Cherries ahead of what proved to be his final season at the south coast club, paying AZ Alkmaar around £15.5million. However, the one-time AC Milan player is now reportedly valued at more than triple that price, closer to £50million.

Real Madrid 'green light'

Football Insider claims Aurelien Tchouameni is reportedly contemplating pushing for a move away from Real Madrid during the summer transfer window. Liverpool wanted to sign the midfield when he left Monaco two-and-a-half years ago but lost out to the reigning European champions.

But since then, the France international has seemingly fallen out of favour in the Spanish capital. Any deal during the winter transfer window appears a no-go, but waiting until the season is over could reputedly make signing Tchouameni a realistic possibility.
