Liverpool next 5 Premier League fixtures compared to Man City and Arsenal amid huge Arne Slot chance

Liverpool is now 11 points ahead of Manchester City in the Premier League and Arne Slot's side leads the way by nine points with Arsenal and Chelsea chasing.

But who is up next and how might the Premier League title picture look by Christmas? Liverpool.com has taken a look to compare how Slot's side's games match up to the chasing pack.

Nothing is won yet as the Liverpool players and coaches would be keen to stress. But there is a huge opportunity emerging for the Reds with a 20th league title a distinct possibility. By Christmas, it would be a shock if Liverpool wasn't at least five or six points clear.

Liverpool

• 4 December: Newcastle (a)

• 7 December: Everton (a)

• 14 December: Fulham (h)

• 22 December: Spurs (a)

Liverpool has three away games and two home games across its next five Premier League fixtures, and the away fixtures could all be tricky. The Merseyside derby at Goodison Park next weekend is sandwiched by trips to Newcastle and Tottenham.

Still, Liverpool will be the favorite to win all of those games. Slot, meanwhile, will surely be disappointed if the Reds do not claim maximum points from the home matches against Fulham and Leicester.

Man City

There's not much to choose between Liverpool's next five games and Manchester City's next five games in terms of which team has the trickier run. Guardiola's side hasn't been in good form either.

City has more home games, put it probably has the trickier opponents too, with games against Aston Villa, Nottingham Forest and Manchester United on the horizon. Selhurst Park is typically a happy hunting ground for City, while Pep Guardiola's men will be confident of beating Everton at home on Boxing Day.

Arsenal

Arsenal will be in action at home more often that Liverpool in the next run of games too. The Gunners should be looking for very close to maximum points as they seek to close the gap at the top.

Manchester United might be better now than under Erik ten Hag but quite how much better is yet to become clear. Fulham, Everton, Crystal Palace and Ipswich are all very beatable.

Chelsea

Perhaps an outsider in the race even after beating Aston Villa, Chelsea has to be included now it is right up there with Manchester City and Arsenal. Brighton is too, of course, but a title push is surely beyond Fabian Hurzeler's men.

Liverpool has already shown itself to be a level above Chelsea by winning the match between the teams at Anfield. But Chelsea should be looking as close to maximum points in the next run. A trip to Spurs is as hard as it gets for Enzo Maresca.
