Liverpool star Stefan Bajcetic could stay with RB Salzburg on-loan next season
Liverpool star Stefan Bajcetic has revealed he could stay with Red Bull Salzburg next season.
The Spanish midfielder is currently out on-loan with the Austrian side, who are managed by Jurgen Klopp's former Reds assistant Pep Lijnders. So far this season, Salzburg's campaign has not gotten off to the best of starts, with Bajcetic and co currently sitting fourth in the Austrian Bundesliga, 11 points behind table toppers Sturm Graz.
However, the loan move to Austria was made with the view to get the 20-year-old back playing following a frustrating campaign on Merseyside which was hampered by injuries. Bajcetic played in just six games last term for Liverpool, while this season for Salzburg, he has played in 11 in all competitions.

And whilst away on international duty for Spain's U21's, Bajcetic has revealed he could end up staying with Salzburg next season too. "Finding the minutes I was missing. After such a long injury I need to play," Bajcetic told Marca.
"I made the decision to go to Salzburg because I thought I would get minutes and I am getting them. They [Liverpool] are in contact with me practically every week asking me how I am and physically giving me gym guidelines so I don't relapse.
Bajcetic added: "Being on-loan in Salzburg and since Liverpool are not going to the [Club] World Cup, I have the option of choosing whether to return to Liverpool or do the World Cup with Salzburg. If I return to Liverpool, I have an option to come to the [U21's] European Championship and it is something that would make me very excited.
"I missed the last [Olympic] Games and [U21's] European Championships due to injury. I have never been to a championship like this with the national team, I am looking forward to it."
Liverpool.com says: "The whole point of Bajcetic going out on-loan was to get him minutes. If he can kick on this term, he could be primed to play a part in the Reds squad next season. Bajcetic may be given a chance to impress Slot during pre-season, but should he find himself out of favor with the Dutchman, he will likely just go out on-loan again, a move which will benefit him and Liverpool in the long run."
