Liverpool star walking disciplinary tightrope before Man City Premier League clash
Liverpool have one or two disciplinary concerns lingering over them before Premier League football returns after November's international break. The Reds are top of the table after their win over Aston Villa at the weekend and have a five-point advantage over Manchester City.
Arne Slot's side have won nine out of 11 Premier League fixtures this season and 15 from 17 in all competitions. The Reds also have a nine-point advantage over Chelsea and Arsenal, who are third and fourth in the league standings respectively as the campaign starts to map out.
The next match for Liverpool will see them travel to Southampton at St Mary's Stadium on November 24 after this international break. After that, the Reds will take on Real Madrid in the Champions League before hosting Man City at Anfield in the Premier League - and neither of those games are to be missed.

It's possible that Liverpool could be without at least one of their star players for the clash against City next month, too. Alexis Mac Alister is currently on four yellow cards in the Premier League this season and is just one away from being handed a one-game suspension in the-top flight.
Should Mac Allister be cautioned, in the clash against Southampton, the midfielder would in turn be unavailable to face City a week later. Mac Allister has been an important player for Liverpool this term, starting all but one Premier League match this season in Slot's midfield.
The Argentina international has one goal to his name which came against Bologna in the Champions League last month. Liverpool have more players who are moving dangerously close to being handed a suspension, as well, as Ibrahima Konate and Dominik Szoboszlai both have three yellow cards apiece.
That means two more for either of the duo would equal a one-game ban in the top-flight. As such, only a red card would put them in danger before the Man City showdown.
