Liverpool transfer news as $33m Andy Roberson replacement becomes target
Liverpool, Real Madrid, Manchester United and Chelsea are all set to battle for the services of Lecce sensation Patrick Dorgu.
Lecce valued Dorgu at around $33 million (£25m/€30m) during the summer and no one wanted to meet that price tag. The Danish sensation is unlikely to stay with the Serie A side forever, however, with TEAMtalk now linking him with Liverpool.
Dorgu previously confessed to being a Chelsea fan but admitted he was open to signing for any club in the Premier League, provided the move is right for his career.
“I have been a Chelsea fan for many years, so of course it’s clear that it is a dream,” he told Flashscore. “That’s not to say I can’t switch to other teams in the Premier League, but even if things aren’t going so well for them (Chelsea) right now, they’re my team.”

Meanwhile, a report in the German media says Liverpool submitted a $102million proposal to sign Florian Wirtz earlier this year. Kicker reported that Wirtz turned down offers because he wanted to remain at Bayer Leverkusen.
Finally, Liverpool-linked midfielder Adrien Rabiot has agreed to join Marseille, according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano. The France international left Juventus at the end of last season following the expiry of his contract, and had been tentatively linked with a move to Anfield following the Reds' failure to sign a new midfielder during the transfer window.
However, his latest transfer will seemingly take the former Paris-Saint Germain man back to France, with negotiations reportedly under way between the Ligue 1 club and the player's representatives, with a deal set to be agreed within the next day or two.
