Liverpool transfer news as $50M Mohamed Salah successor emerges and Merlin Rohl pursued
Liverpool is reportedly considering swooping for Borussia Dortmund winger Karim Adeyemi as part of the Reds' plans to 'revamp' their attacking options.
Mohamed Salah could leave the club at the end of the season, with the Egyptian's current contract set to expire in June 2025, and TEAMtalk says the club is planning for life without the talismanic attacker, who is reported to be unlikely to sign an extension.
Adeyemi is a versatile forward who can play as a striker or as a winger on either flank, and has started the new season with two goals and four assists in seven appearances for Dortmund.

TEAMtalk references sources that say Adeyemi is firmly on Liverpool's shortlist and that the Merseyside club is likely to sign a new winger ahead of the 2025-26 season.
The report adds that Dortmund would be willing to part ways with Adeyemi for less than €45m ($50m) next summer - a figure which is said to be viewed as ‘negotiable’ and ‘fair’ by Liverpool.
Meanwhile, Freiberg midfielder Merlin Rohl is also being linked with a move to Liverpool. The Reds were in the market for a new midfielder during the summer transfer window but did not end up signing one, as Spaniard Martin Zubimendi turned down a transfer to Anfield in favor of remaining with Real Sociedad.
Wide forward Federico Chiesa was Liverpool's only outfield signing of the transfer window, but the Reds remain a man lighter in midfield than they were last season following the retirement of Thiago Alcantara.
Although Thiago did not figure for Liverpool in his final campaign at the club due to injury, Slot seemingly remains intent on strengthening in that area of the pitch.
German football journalist Christian Falk says 22-year-old Rohl is on Liverpool's list of targets, and that scouts have already watched the youngster in action for Freiburg.
Falk adds that Freinburg has offered a new contract to Rohl, who is currently sidelined with injury, in a bid to stave off interest from Liverpool.
