Liverpool has made a brilliant start to the season under Arne Slot.

The Reds have won eight of their first 10 Premier League games, with their only defeat being the shock 1-0 home loss to Nottingham Forest in September. That's the only match Liverpool has lost in any competition this term, with the team winning three times in the Champions League and through to the quarterfinals of the Carabao Cup.

Despite impressing under Slot, Liverpool fans are wondering if the team will bring in any players during the January transfer window ahead of Tuesday's game against Bayer Leverkusen. With that in mind, here are the latest rumors from Merseyside...

Federico Chiesa (AC Milan)

AC Milan is keeping an eye on Federico Chiesa's situation at Liverpool, according to MilanLive. It's believed the Italian team is interested in completing a trade deal with the Reds for Chiesa that involves midfielder Tijjani Reijnders moving to Merseyside.

Liverpool snapped up Chiesa, 27, from Juventus in August, but he's struggling to get ahead of Mohamed Salah, Luis Diaz, Diogo Jota, Cody Gakpo, and Darwin Nunez in the pecking order. The Italian winger has played just 78 minutes of soccer for the Reds.

Reijnders, 26, is best known for his lengthy spell with Dutch team AZ, where he played 128 games. The holding midfielder could solve Liverpool's holding midfielder conundrum after failing to sign Real Sociedad's Martin Zubimendi during the summer.

Liverpool.com says: It seems unlikely Liverpool will sell Chiesa in January, but a lot can change before the window opens in just under two months' time. The former Juventus winger needs to start playing and showing his worth to everyone in Merseyside.

Omar Marmoush (Eintracht Frankfurt)

Liverpool has registered its interest in signing Eintracht Frankfurt winger Omar Marmoush, according to Bild. The Egypt international, 25, has scored 12 goals and provided nine assists in just 14 games for Frankfurt this season.

Marmoush is one of the most exciting young forwards in European soccer and was a target for both Forest and Fulham during the previous transfer window. It's claimed his preference is a move to England, with Manchester United and Chelsea also keen. Bayern Munich is believed to be another club chasing the player, valued at $43.5 million by Transfermarkt.

Liverpool.com says: Marmoush is an exciting player, but he won't come cheap if other big clubs are chasing his signature. Liverpool's focus should be on extending Mohamed Salah's contract, which concludes at the end of this season.
