Liverpool transfer news as Mo Salah's departure could mean the arrival of another Egyptian forward
The international break means clubs across Europe can take a step back from scouting their direction competition and instead look across the globe for talent.
Liverpool does not have a pressing need for additions with the club flying in first place in both the Premier League and Champions League.
Arne Slot's side can look to be proactive and patch potential teething issues as opposed to prioritizing quick fixes. He may also have to deal with the pending transfers of current stars like Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil Van Dijk.
Here is the Liverpool.com verdict featuring one key Egyptian incoming transfer and an update on a potential Egyptian outgoing:

Mohamed Salah, Liverpool
According to German transfer Insider Florian Plettenberg, both Liverpool and Mo Salah are still "far apart" in contract negotiations. The two parties are still in close discussions.
Salah recently conducted a roundtable interview on the club's YouTube alongside Andy Robertson and Alisson where he spoke effusively about his time with the club. He's off to a scorching start this season - the Egyptian forward is up to 20 total goal involvements in just 17 games.
Liverpool.com says: Now might not be the best time to sign Salah to a deal, as the star holds all the leveraging power due to his form. A similar story played out in 2021/22 when the Egyptian forward was scoring for fun in the fall before an eventual winter dry spell - it was only then the two sides came to an agreement. The club should the Salah contract in the new year and prioritize the Alexander-Arnold and Van Dijk contracts first.
Omar Marmoush, Eintracht Frankfurt
25-year-old Omar Marmoush can't stop scoring for Eintracht Frankfurt. The Egyptian forward is up to 14 goals (with 10 assists) in his club's first 16 games across all competitions. German outlet BILD is reporting the Reds have a potential €50-60 million ($53-$63 million) bid on the table.
The Reds should be aware of some obvious regression. Marmoush's 11 league goals have come from an xG of just 5.5, and the forward has never scored more than 12 goals in a league campaign.
Liverpool.com says: The Marmoush transfer has all the makings of a trap. The storyline of another Egyptian heading to replace Salah is poetic, but the forward may not be the right fit for the Reds. Marmoush often lines up as the left striker in a two-man front line. Both Cody Gakpo and Luis Diaz have a strangle on that spot for Liverpool, and Liverpool need to chase someone who could actually feature in the line-up next year.
