The Merseyside derby at Goodison Park has been pencilled in for Tuesday, February 11 following the postponement of the fixture earlier this month.

Liverpool was due to travel across Stanley Park on Saturday, December 7, but the game was called off due to safety concerns as Storm Darragh battered the west of England.

The rearranged fixture, released by the Mirror, falls between the weekend that has been reserved for the fourth round of the FA Cup (February 8/9), and Liverpool's Premier League game at home to Wolves on February 16.

The first legs of the Champions League play-off phase will take place on February 11 and 12, but Liverpool has effectively ensured it will bypass the play-offs with its strong league-phase performance. Liverpool is five points clear at the top of the table and is set to enter the Champions League knock-outs at the last-16 stage.

Premier League regulations dictate that postponed matches should be rescheduled for the next available game week, although Liverpool's packed fixture schedule means that could be in several weeks into the new year. Arne Slot's men will play Southampton in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals next week, and if they advance to the semi-finals, they won't have a free midweek until February.

Uefa must give the Premier League approval to stage a match on a Champions League game night, but it is reported that that should not be a problem.

TNT Sports holds the UK TV rights for both the Merseyside derby and the Champions League play-offs but has approved the scheduling of Everton vs Liverpool during that week.
