Livingston have signed Rangers goalkeeper Kieran Wright on an emergency loan deal.

Livi - who could suffer relegation away to Motherwell tomorrow - were forced to draft in another shotstopper following an injury to back-up Jack Hamilton. And Gers have sanctioned a seven-day loan deal for fourth-choice keeper Kieran Wright to join David Martindale's side. No1 Shamal George will start at Fir Park on Saturday but Wright will replace crocked Hamilton on the bench.

A Livi statement confirmed: "Livingston FC can announce that goalkeeper Kieran Wright has joined the club on a seven-day emergency loan from Rangers FC. The 25-year-old trained with the Lions this morning and goes straight into the matchday squad for tomorrow’s trip to Fir Park following an injury to Jack Hamilton.

"Kieran signed for the Ibrox side in 2016 and has enjoyed loan spells at Albion Rovers, Raith Rovers, Alloa Athletic, Partick Thistle and Dumbarton as well as featuring for Scotland at U17, U19 and U21 level. The club would like to thank the SPFL, the SFA and Rangers FC Director of Football Operations Creag Robertson for their help in making this possible."

A Rangers spokesperson added: "Goalkeeper Kieran Wright will today join Livingston on a 1-week emergency loan. Good luck, Kieran."

Wright, 24, came through the ranks at Auchenhowie but has yet to make a single first-team appearance for the Light Blues. He has had previous loan spells at Partick Thistle, Raith Rovers, Alloa, Albion Rovers and Dumbarton.
