Moments before a major top-25 college football matchup between LSU and USC, some fans hoping to watch the game on DirecTV were met with a blackout.

The issue is that DirecTV and Disney could not agree to a deal to show Disney-owned content on the TV streaming service. The ESPN family of networks were blacked out on DirecTV in markets where Disney owns the channel. The blackout occurred in the middle of the U.S. Open and prior to the Sunday night primetime game between No. 12 LSU and No. 23 USC.

College football fans quickly complained about discontinuing the service on social media, as the blackout happened rather unexpectedly.

How to watch LSU-USC without DirecTV?

LSU and USC will be broadcast on ABC. For DirecTV viewers who cannot watch the game via cable, streaming options include the ESPN app (with a cable login), ESPN+, or Fubo, the latter of which carries ABC and the ESPN family of networks and offers a free trial to select users.
