Makai Lemon injury update: Latest on USC WR following scary injury vs Michigan
USC football wide receiver Makai Lemon suffered a scary-looking injury late in the first quarter of Saturday's Week 4 college football game against Michigan.
Lemon took a massive hit while playing on punt coverage during the Trojans' 27-24 loss to the Wolverines late in the first quarter. He was on the field for several minutes and was attended to by the USC training staff. He eventually walked off the field with assistance and headed to the blue injury tent.
According to the CBS Broadcast, Lemon was taken to a University of Michigan hospital for further evaluation.

While USC coach Riley did not have an update on Lemon's status following the game on Saturday, he did provide one Monday on Trojans Live. Here's what Riley said of Lemon.

Makai Lemon injury update
Riley updated Lemon's status during his appearance on Trojan Live via the USC YouTube channel on Monday. He said Lemon was "doing well" and that Lemon experienced a "whiplash type of incident where his head hit the turf hard."

The third-year USC coach did not indicate if Lemon would be available this week when the Trojans play their Big Ten Conference home opener vs. Wisconsin. The sophomore has four catches for 45 yards and a touchdown for USC this season.
