Man City get Premier League title race twist after Trent Alexander-Arnold injury update

Liverpool's Trent Alexander-Arnold is facing a race to be fit for Manchester City's visit to Anfield on December 1, with a first suggestion of a timeline emerging for the full-back's newly acquired injury.

City supporters will by shying away from looking at the Premier League table following results of recent weekends. Having retaken top spot themselves, defeats at Bournemouth and Brighton have left them stranded five points behind rivals Liverpool.

The Reds capitalised by beating Brighton and Aston Villa at Anfield whilst Man City's consecutive losses occurred, though the latter fixture on Saturday brought with it trouble. Midway through the first half Alexander-Arnold was removed from the action, indicating to head coach Arne Slot that his right hamstring was the problem before heading straight down the tunnel.

This tricky run will surely present Slot with a new conundrum of how best to manage his player's minutes as to not aggravate the injury further.
