Man United are without five players as attacker is rated 50-50 for Leicester City clash
Leicester City will head to Manchester United on Sunday afternoon and take on a Red Devils side still without a host of first-team players who remain sidelined through injury. In what will be Ruud Van Nistelrooy's final game in interim charge before Ruben Amorim begins his tenure next week, United have a number of defenders still unavailable.
Leicester arrive at Old Trafford, for the final game before the final international break of 2024, hoping to return to winning ways in the league; having been turned over by East Midlands rivals Nottingham Forest, they then claimed a dramatic late point at Ipswich last time out. Prior to that, they were knocked out of the EFL Cup by United.
There remain some issues for the hosts, as Steve Cooper's men look to spoil Van Nistelrooy's sign off. Harry Maguire isn't fit enough to engage in a reunion with his former club, while fellow England international Luke Shaw also continues to struggle with his own fitness. Summer signing Leny Yoro is back training but won't be available, while Tyrell Malacia and Kobbie Mainoo will also be missing.

There is a further concern over Amad Diallo, who scored twice in the 2-0 win over PAOK in the Europa League in the week; he is set to undergo a late fitness test before the visit of the Foxes to determine whether he's available or otherwise.
"Amad was assessed," said van Nistelrooy. "We're still working on him, to get him ready for Sunday. Hopefully, it will work. Kobbie is also progressing in his injury, he’s making the right steps, but is not yet with the team, though. That needs a bit more time.
"I have to say we had a lot of benefit from Christian [Eriksen] playing 30 minutes, obviously [Manuel] Ugarte and Mason [Mount] making his first minutes again. That benefited us as well. So I’m glad that they’re back and also, for a little bit longer [into the] future, good that Luke [Shaw] and Leny [Yoro] are on the pitch."
