New manager's first task at Hull City is an easy one, admits ex-Chelsea striker
One of the first tasks for Hull City's new head coach Ruben Selles will be to fill his players with confidence and generally make the squad feel better about themselves.
That's according to Mason Burstow, who believes a manager who gives his players the belief and confidence in what they're doing will go a long way to getting City out of the mess they've been left in.
Former boss Tim Walter was often critical of his players, both publically and privately, with Burstow, Regan Slater and Kasey Palmer among those who have so far been uneasy about the German's abrasive methods during what turned out to be a disastrous spell in charge.

After a run of six straight defeats, City began the process of recovery on Wednesday night with a 1-1 draw against Watford in Selles' first game as head coach, which will hopefully lay the foundations for the Championship's bottom side to move away from trouble, starting with maximum points at Coventry City on Saturday.
"As a team. we've not been scoring a lot recently. Hopefully, getting a goal can give us more confidence in scoring more," Burstow told Hull Live.
"Yes, definitely. I think that, as a manager, it's one of the main parts of the job (giving players confidence). Tactically, you can do what you can, but if you can keep all your players confident and play football and enjoy the game, I think you're already one step ahead.
"I think you can see it in the likes of Abu (Kamara) and Kasey (Palmer) and whatnot, who are game-winners for us and can definitely make an impact on the pitch. For us boys to be more confident will only do us better."
