Maroons can't keep up in loss to Madison Southern

Apr. 19—The baseball Maroons found themselves in the midst of a three-game winning streak on Thursday as they traveled north to take on Madison Southern. Their recent string of strong offensive performances ended though as they couldn't keep pace with the Eagles' offense, with Pulaski falling by a final score of 13-3 in five innings.

Bryce Cowell led the way with three RBI's and a home run in the contest. Chase Farmer, Jacob Todd and Carter Ross each added a hit in the loss. The Maroons used Braden Hampton, Wessen Falin, Dawson Branscum and Farmer on the mound in the ball game, with Hampton earning the loss with two-third innings pitched, allowing five runs on two hits with three walks and a strikeout. Madison Southern was led by senior Zach Hudson with four RBI's and a home run.

Pulaski falls to 7-6 and will next travel to East Jessamine on Saturday at noon.
