Hibs star Martin Boyle is reportedly attracting interest from A-League duo Melbourne City and Perth Glory.

The Socceroos winger - who turned 31 in April - has never hidden his desire to play in Australia's top-flight. Speaking in 2021, he said: “That's always been a part of my plan. I've committed to Hibernian for the next two-to-three seasons but I'm not getting any younger and I'd really like to experience playing over there. Hopefully one day in the future I can come out there and represent one of the clubs out there."

And FTBL claims the winger now has options to fulfill that ambition of moving Down Under. It's said that Melbourne City are leading the chase for his signature. However, the report states that Boyle is free to talk to other clubs as a free agent, which is not the case as the Australian international is under contract until 2025, with Hibs holding the option of an additional year.

Boyle has 79 goals in 315 appearances since moving to Easter Road from Dundee in 2015. He spent a brief spell in Saudi Arabia after joining Al-Faisaly in a £3million deal in January 2022.

But the attacker returned to Edinburgh just seven months later after struggling to settle in the Middle East. By his own standards, Boyle hasn't hit top form this season but has still contributed 11 goals and four assists.
