Head coach Michael Duff has spoken of his frustration over Lasse Sorensen joining Huddersfield Town's growing injury list. The wing back faces up to two months on the sidelines due to a hamstring problem sustained in Saturday's home win over Bristol Rovers.

Duff, who is also without the services of Lee Nicholls, Michal Helik, Radinio Balker, Joe Hodge and Josh Koroma through injury, said: "It will be another challenge for him [Sorensen] because he has never been injured. I think he played 60 games last year for Lincoln. It's frustrating for him and us but it is something we have got to deal with."

Duff praised Town’s mindset after their goalless draw at promotion rivals Wrexham last night. He said: “I have talked about it a lot in terms of mentality and I think earlier in the season we’d have probably lost the game.

"When there’s been a little bit of heat or adversity we’ve sort of gone into a team of individuals which I didn’t think happened today. We gave ourselves a platform to hopefully try and nick it which we didn’t but a clean sheet against a team that have scored 15 goals in 5 games after one shot on target is not bad.

“The fact that we’ve come away and come through a little bit of adversity in the first 20 minutes, a club on the up, a club with real momentum, the supporters were really with them but we stuck together, we stuck to task, tweaked a few things and then grew into the game and looked like a good team in the second half so hopefully that’s an improvement and we can keep improving the mentality which will improve momentum which will improve points.

“You look at the calibre of players we’ve not got playing. You look at Birmingham who are top of the league playing the same team every week, look at Wrexham playing the same team every week. Look at the players we’ve got missing. We’ve had a big chunk of very good players.

“Now that is football. You do get injuries but the opportunity is for other people. I expect us to get better as the season goes on because there’s a lot of relationship building, there’s a lot of new things being introduced, there’s a whole shift in mentality of the football club.

“It’s easy for me to say we have had positive results. It doesn’t just happen overnight. You are not going to get that. You don’t marry your Mrs on the first date! You have to build the trust with each other and with the supporters.”
