Middlesbrough were clinical as they headed into the latest international break in style, with a 5-1 victory over Luton Town at the Riverside.

Building on the midweek win at QPR, they made in nine goals in two games as their recent form in front of goal really told. Delano Burgzorg and Finn Azaz both grabbed braces with Emmanuel Latte Lath scoring the other to make for an excellent day for Boro.

They head into the international break with a great feeling after such a victory. Here's how the Boro players rated.

Seny Dieng - 7

On his 50th Boro appearance, Dieng was really unlucky not to mark it with a clean sheet. He didn't have many saves to make, but one he made just before Boro's fourth goal showed really good reactions.

Anfernee Dijksteel - 8

Another excellent return to the side, Dijksteel did such a good job managing the lively Tahith Chong, while also playing his part in attacks when possible.

George Edmundson - 7

What could have been a really tricky afternoon against Elijah Adebayo was made to look like a breeze. Boro's comfort helped, but this was another no-nonsense display from the loan defender.

Matt Clarke - 7

Could have been better in one or two moments playing out of defence, but otherwise solid. Stood up to the physical test well, as you would expect him to.

Luke Ayling - 7

Covering at left-back with Neto Borges ill, it was by no means a natural transition for him, particularly in possession. But against a very direct side, Ayling always stood up to the task at hand.

Aidan Morris - 8

An excellent display from the American, particularly in the first half before the Boro goals started. He had one of those games where he just appeared top be everywhere at just the right time from a defensive point of view, as well as being busy in possession to get Boro forward. One particular tackle in the first half just before the Boro opener as they almost played themselves into trouble was crucial. 'USA' chants as he was withdrawn late on to a huge ovation.

Hayden Hackney - 7

Solid return to the side. While Morris deservedly steals the headlines among the midfield two, Hackney provided energy and positivity to the midfield to play his part.

Ben Doak - 8

Lively again for Boro throughout. Two assists, but also a different side to his game as well in the first half. Helping defensively, he tracked back a lot to keep an eye on wing-back Amari'i Bell. When he went off at the break, the Liverpool loanee really turned it on and caused Daiki Hashioka all sorts of problems.

Finn Azaz - 9

From the off, Azaz looked a player with bags of confidence and desperate to make an impact. And make an impact he did. He had a hand in all five goals - one of which was a direct assist followed by two emphatic finishes to grab well-deserved goals. Every good Boro attack came through him.

Delano Burgzorg - 8

Not everything he tried came off, but on his return to the side, he worked really hard in the press and got his rewards, scoring two of Boro's goals.

Emmanuel Latte Lath - 8

An excellent return to the starting line-up as he bagged a goal and an assist to match was an all-round impressive display. We need to talk about his goal though. The control on the chest, the turn to fool the defender, and then the finish to boot. Magnificent.

Substitutions

Dan Barlaser (For Morris, 70') - 6 - Game was over as he came on, meaning it lost all its intensity making it more a training exercise.

Micah Hamilton (For Burgzorg, 70') - 6 - Lost the ball for the Luton goal.

Tommy Conway (For Latte Lath, 70') - 6 - Similar to Barlaser.

Dael Fry (For Edmundson, 75') - 6 - Great to see him back for the first time since February.
