Pure ecstasy. The way the Chelsea bench reacted to Pedro Neto's 70th-minute equaliser spoke volumes to how big that particular goal was.

The Blues had fallen behind not too long before with Gabriel Martinelli taking advantage of some pretty suspect defending from the hosts at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea, however, were not to be denied.

Enzo Maresca's team kept playing their game; not to be deterred by the Arsenal goal that at one point looked as if would be enough for all three points in this London derby. Neto's goal was met by some fairly jubilant scenes from the Chelsea dugout, including Renato Veiga, who ran down the touchline - almost Jose Mourinho-esque - before actually entering the pitch. He could not contain his excitement.

It probably meant more to Veiga that it was his close friend Neto that scored it. The Portugal international's first in the Premier League for the Blues following his summer move from Wolves. And it was no less than Chelsea - and Neto himself - deserved.

There were some other talking points from the fiercely-contested draw, as Bobby Vincent writes below...

Neto coming of age

That was exactly what the doctor ordered for Neto. The 24-year-old winger has shown glimpses of what he is all about during his few months as a Chelsea player, but that was a statement goal.

A real livewire throughout the match, Neto proved a nightmare for Arsenal to handle. He gave Ben White a torrid time before switching sides to do the same to Jurrien Timber.

Constantly looking to take his man on - and if he fails, rest assured he will go again. A first goal in this competition in a Chelsea shirt and it could not have come at a better time for the Blues.

Caicedo imperious... again

It is becoming quite the regular occurrence, this, isn't it? 'This' being writing about how good Moises Caicedo is at football. How good he is at dominating a midfield.

Up against the likes of Declan Rice and Martin Odegaard, the Ecuadorian was absolutely superb. His aggression off the ball is unmatched in most games and this outing was no different.

Caicedo has a video analyst in place so he can go through each and every performance; to see where he can improve his game. But if you go back and review his last few performances, the video analyst might need to ask for double pay because Caicedo has been that impressive.

Palmer did not look right

Cole Palmer passed a late fitness test in order to be fit and available for the Arsenal game but the truth is, he did not look ready to play. The 22-year-old was far from his usual self on Sunday evening and had a difficult time getting involved in the match.

It did not help that Thomas Partey was doing a man-marking job on him, similar to what we saw from Curtis Jones at Anfield last month. Either way, Palmer was unable to pick up the ball in positions where he has proven to be so dangerous in the past.

Palmer could be seen limping out of Stamford Bridge post-match with England now having a decision to make to see if he is fit enough to stay in the squad for their upcoming Nations League games against Greece and Republic of Ireland.
