MLB playoffs scores, highlights: Wild card results from Game 2 action Wednesday

Four MLB playoff elimination games were in play on Wednesday.

It was win or go home in each.

Three of the four teams − the Detroit Tigers, Kansas City Royals and San Diego Padres − all advanced to the divisional round. The Milwaukee Brewers forced a Game 3 against the New York Mets. The Houston Astros, Baltimore Orioles and Atlanta Braves have been eliminated.

MLB postseason Game 2 wild card game highlights

The rivalry between the Padres and Dodgers continues in the NLDS.

Braves outfielder Michael Harris II hits a two-run homer in the top of the eighth inning to make it a one-run game against the Padres.

Garrett Mitchell's two-run home run gives the Brewers the lead as they go on to win 5-3 in Game 2 and force a Game 3 against the Mets.

Padres storm back with 5-run second inning against the Braves.

Marcell Ozuna drives in the first run of Game 2 against the Padres.

Francisco Alvarez and Francisco Lindor drive in two more runs in the top of the second to put the Mets back on top.

Jackson Chourio, fresh off making history as the youngest player ever in MLB to record multiple hits in their playoff debut, took Sean Manaea deep to lead off the bottom of the first. It's a tie ball game, 1-1.
