But when will these moments grace our television screens? With less than two weeks until the conclusion of the regular season, you'd better start checking your calendar, making sure you have free time to catch as much postseason action as possible. Here is a rundown of the 2024 MLB playoff schedule.

When do the MLB playoffs begin?

The playoffs begin with the best-of-three wild card Series on Tuesday, October 1 – two days after the final day of the regular season. Each series will play three games on consecutive days, with the final game of each series scheduled for Thursday, October 3.

When does the World Series start?

Game 1 of the World Series is set for Friday, October 25. The World Series can conclude as early as Game 4, set for Tuesday, October 29, but can bleed into November if the series goes at least six games. Game 7 of the 2024 World Series would be held on Saturday, November 2.
