Liverpool star Mohamed Salah says he 'hates' his side being underdogs in the title race. The Egyptian has fired a warning to Arsenal and their Premier League rivals, with Arne Slot's side sitting five points clear at the top of the Premier League.

In recent weeks, both Arsenal and Manchester City have suffered a downturn in form - in particular, the reigning champions after defeat at Brighton made it four consecutive defeats.

Salah was on target for the Anfield club against the Gunners when they met in October, with Slot's men twice coming from behind to earn a point.

Despite the ongoing contract uncertainty surrounding the 32-year-old, as well as teammates Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold, who are all entering the final six months of their contracts at Anfield, he continues to prove his worth.

Already in the Premier League this season, Salah has eight goals and six assists in the opening 11 matches - adding one goal and four assists in the Champions League - which they too sit on top of.

Liverpool return to action against Southampton on November 24 before they face their latest title showdown when City visit Merseyside at the beginning of December.

Bookmakers are beginning to slash the odds for the Reds to win their 20th top-flight title, but pundits continue to rubbish their capabilities - pitting both Arsenal and City ahead of them.

Salah admitted he 'hates the idea' of Liverpool being undermined. He said: "Win it all, in my opinion. I worked so hard every day, I hate the idea that we're underdogs.

"We have an incredible group, one of the best in the world, in each position, you're going to find one of the top three in the world so why [don't] we win it [all]? This club, this city always fight for everything."
