Mohamed Salah reinforced his status as a modern day Liverpool great as he pulled ahead of fellow Anfield icon Robbie Fowler in the all-time Premier League goalscoring stakes with a wonderstrike versus Brighton.
The Egyptian superstar's legacy on Merseyside is already secure after a glorious seven seasons with the Reds which has seen him win a clean sweep of major honors. In total, he has now notched up a staggering 164 goals in England's top flight, with this figure including a couple of strikes during his brief spell with Chelsea previously.
His latest goal came as he scored the winner in a hard-fought 2-1 home victory over Brighton as the 32-year-old completed the turnaround for Arne Slot's men in the 72nd minute. Having fell behind to Ferdi Kadioglu's opener in the first half, Cody Gakpo's goal drew proceedings level in the 69th minute.

From there, the home side seized the initiative, as Salah provided a moment to remember in front of the Kop with a typically mesmerizing finish. Having come into the clash level with Reds icon Fowler, Salah's strike means he is also only 11 goals off Thierry Henry's tally.
A perennial record breaker during his time at Anfield, the Egyptian also extended his haul as Liverpool's most prolific goalscorer versus Brighton. In his 17 appearances against the Seagulls, the fan favorite has tallied up an impressive ten strikes during his time with the Reds.
Salah currently sits fifth in the all-time goalscroing stakes at Liverpool, having scored a grand total of 220 times across his seven year spell. That record means that he boasts more strikes than fellow greats Fowler, Steven Gerrard, and Kenny Dalglish - while sitting just eight goals adrift of Billy Liddell.
In the Premier League era, Salah is also the Reds' most prolific goalscorer, with it remaining to be seen whether he will stay at Anfield beyond this season to extend his haul. The winger has entered the final year of his contract and would would be able to depart for free at the end of the campaign if he does not sign an extension.
Liverpool boss Slot addressed the situation surrounding Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold's contracts prior to the Brighton clash. He said: : "The contract situation could become a problem if the players don't perform as well as they do at the moment.
"It's also not sure that if they perform not as good anymore that has anything to do with the contract situation. At the moment, all three of them are in a good place, they all perform really, really, really well. There are ongoing discussions between what Virgil said are the people he had to talk with, and that's not me, as you know. I talk to him about other things. Let's wait and see."
