Mohamed Salah has sent yet another message while Liverpool wait for the international break to draw to a close. The Reds are not back in action until November 24 when they travel to face Southampton in the Premier League.

Arne Slot's team are top of the league table, as well as the Champions League standings, having won 15 of their 17 matches in all competitions. Salah has played a key role in that success, scoring 10 goals with 10 assists in all competitions to become one of only three players in Europe to do so.

Salah was not called up to the Egypt squad for the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Cape Verde and Botswana. Instead, the 32-year-old has remained on Merseyside and is working on his fitness ahead of returning to action for Liverpool after the international break.

On Thursday night, Salah posted a message on social media of his fitness routine during the international hiatus. The Egyptian posted wearing a jacket and shorts while in the gym as he continues to work on his fitness before Premier League football returns.

It's not the first message that Salah has sent on social media this week, with the Liverpool star posting a shirtless photo on Tuesday while in the gym. The 'updates' from Salah come amid continued uncertainty over where the forward will be playing his football next season.

Salah's contract at Liverpool is set to expire at the end of the campaign, and it remains to be seen if an extension will be agreed. Talks remain underway between the club and Salah's representatives, but no agreement has been reached regarding an extension on the Egyptian's current terms.

The ECHO reported in September that Salah is desperate to extend his stay at Liverpool beyond the length of his current contract. As things stand, though, Salah will be able to negotiate a pre-contract agreement with clubs outside England from January onwards once he enters the final six months of his contract.
