How much Celtic have banked from Champions League so far as Parkhead coffers swell
The Champions League was revamped for the 2024/25 season and Celtic are loving life in the new-look format.
With two wins, one draw, and one loss, the Hoops currently sit 13th in the 36-team league, and comfortably on course for a round of 16 play-off spot should their form continue — it’s also still possible for them to bypass that round of fixtures and qualify automatically too. Points, ultimately, mean prizes and the club have banked a tonne of Champions League cash in recent years with their current run on track to be as lucrative as ever.
Last night’s magnificent 3-1 Parkhead win over RB Leipzig, thanks to a sensational Nicolas Kuhn double and a Reo Hatate strike, have Brendan Rodgers’ side sitting pretty ahead of their next home euro clash against Club Brugge at the end of this month. Fans were cautiously optimistic when the draw was made that their favourable fixtures would guide them to the knockout rounds and they are well on their way now, but just how much cash have they banked already?

UEFA dishes out cash for wins and draws in the now-look league phase, with nothing awarded to the losing side. Prize money works out at £1.77million for a win in the league phase, and £589,868 for a draw, these numbers are broken down from €2.1m per win and €700,000 per draw.
So, after just four games in the competition, Celtic have accrued around £4,129,868 from their on-field performances alone. This does not take into account any gate receipts or further bonuses, such as UEFA's new value pillars, which assign a team a rank 1-36 and payout according to your rank and the end of the league phase. Rodgers' side have already received £15.7m for qualifying for the league phase after winning the Scottish Premiership last season.
While no one is eager to get ahead of themselves either, the payouts for progression are, as expected, rather lucrative too.
