Neil Lennon tells Rangers they'll NEVER trump Celtic trophy haul as 55th title will silence Ibrox fans
Neil Lennon insists Rangers will never be able to trump Celtic's trophy haul as the Hoops target a record-equalling 55th title.
Gloating Gers have claimed for decades that they are the most successful club in Scotland having lifted more silverware and titles than their Old Firm rivals. But since the turn of the millennium, Celts have added an astonishing 41 major honours to their cabinet - an incredible feat when you consider the Parkhead side had won 77 major cups in the 112 years prior.
Both clubs are now locked on 118 trophies each, and should Brendan Rodgers lead Celtic to Premier Sports Cup glory on December 15, the Hoops will be out on their own. As if that thought was hard enough to stomach for Rangers supporters, Celts will also match the Ibrox club's cherished record of 55 top-flight titles should they complete their quest for four-in-a-row come May.

It's a nightmare scenario for all in Govan but Lennon claims the bragging rights have always belonged in the east end of Glasgow, with Celts the only Scottish club to have been crowned champions of Europe.
He told OLBG: "Celtic winning their 55th title will be massive for the supporters. They can turn that tap off after hearing it from Rangers fans for a considerable time.
"Since the turn of the millennium, Celtic have won 18 titles from 24 seasons and they are the juggernaut in Scotland now. The fans will love it and they’re coming out in their thousands every week. Fans argue over who is the biggest club, but Celtic also have 1967 in their corner, it’ll take quite something for Rangers to match that."
