New Newcastle United addition spotted in dressing room as Manchester United exit confirmed
Newcastle United's newest backroom recruit, Luke Dickson, looks to be settling in on Tyneside after leaving his role as Manchester United's Lead Academy Analyst.
Speculation swirled last month as the Red Devils were reported to have placed Dickson on gardening leave before allowing him to join his boyhood club. His Old Trafford exit was confirmed, by the man himself, in October - with Dickson spotted in Newcastle's dressing room photograph after beating Nottingham Forest over the weekend.
The 28-year-old spent five years in red half of Manchester after previously enjoying stints at Leicester City and Hibernian. He is the latest appointment to Howe's backroom staff as Newcastle seek to build a team of experienced analysts behind the scenes.

Confirming his exit last month, Dickson wrote on social media: "After 5 unbelievable years at Manchester United, I have decided to leave the club to pursue a new opportunity.
"It has been an unforgettable period of time, with some of the best experiences of my life whilst getting to work with elite level practitioners on a day-to-day basis. There are too many people to mention but I cannot thank everyone enough."
Dickson has spent the last few years in direct contact with Manchester United's academy talents, seeking to improve the club's best and brightest prospects.
Manchester United were accused of dirty tactics by many Newcastle fans last month as reports emerged regarding a period of gardening leave for Dickson - just months after the Magpies made their Premier League rivals wait before swooping for sporting director Dan Ashworth.
The Old Trafford boardroom chief was placed on gardening leave by Newcastle earlier this year after expressing his desire to leave St James' Park to join a brand new backroom team under Sir Jim Ratcliffe, Man United's new minority owner.
