Newcastle United star sanctioned 'time away' from club after suffering setback
Kieran Trippier has been handed "time away" from Newcastle United after suffering his latest injury setback.
Trippier pulled up with a hamstring injury during the bore draw at Everton earlier this month and has subsequently been ruled out for the next few weeks. The right-back misses this weekend clash at Chelsea and will also be absent for the potentially season defining Carabao Cup tie at home to the Blues next week at St James' Park.
Howe expects him to make a recovery from a hamstring problem, but believes time away from the day to day set-up will benefit the 34-year-old.

Newcastle head coach Howe said: "He’s in a good place. He’s had a little bit of time away from the club due to his injury.
"He has gone to seek treatment elsewhere but we don’t envisage his injury to be a big one and we hope he will be back, if not before the international break then after the international break, ahead, I think he is in the best frame of mind that I have seen him for a few months. I think he’s in a really good place currently."
Trippier's absence has given Tino Livramento an opportunity at right-back again but Newcastle's dressing room lacks the 54-times England star's experience and guidance. His ability from dead balls is also a huge blow for Howe and he will be looking forward to welcoming Trippier back before the long hard winter sets in.
With Callum Wilson and Jamaal Lascelles also missing, the experience that has guided Howe's team to the dizzy heights is missing right now.
