Newcastle United star Tino Livramento handed unexpected boost due to Liverpool blow
Tino Livramento will be waiting with bated breath for another belated England call-up after Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold limped off in the win over Aston Villa on Saturday.
The Newcastle United full-back was left out of Lee Carsley's final senior squad this month, just as he was for last month's fixtures with Finland and Greece. On that occasion, Livramento earned a late promotion from the under-21 side to Carsley's group after injuries to senior stars.
Alexander-Arnold lasted just 24 minutes in the win over Villa before being forced off for Arne Slot's side. “With Trent, he had to go out. We have to wait and see how he is doing,” the Dutchman said shortly following the final whistle.

He later added: “It’s difficult to say how serious it is but it’s always serious if a player goes out in the first half. Not because I didn’t like him (his performance) but because he asked for it himself.
Reports from Merseyside suggest the right-back will be out for a number of weeks, definitely missing the international break due to a hamstring problem.
Livramento earned a senior call-up back in September after impressing for Newcastle early in the campaign. However, the former Southampton star is yet to earn his Three Lions debut.
Quizzed over any feeling over a September inclusion, Livramento said: “No, I didn’t know anything. Obviously, with Lee getting called up to be the seniors’ manager, I’ve seen it as a good opportunity for me because obviously, I knew him.
“But I think it’s down to you as a player with how you play every weekend for your club. I think that’s the main thing. I feel like I’ve started this season alright, so this is a good opportunity for me.”
