How did the players fare in Newcastle United's Carabao Cup win over Chelsea?

NEWCASTLE (4-3-3):

7 Pope: Made two important saves from Felix towards the end of the first half and withstood Chelsea’s pressure from corners

7 Krafth: Helped make Newcastle more solid on his return to the side – made a couple of important blocks

7 Schar: A much-improved display after his difficulties at the weekend – did well against Nkunku

8 KELLY: Had a really good night playing at centre-half, with the highlight being a second-half block from Nkunku

7 Hall: Reproduced his weekends form as he defended solidly and got forward whenever possible

6 Longstaff: Covered a lot of ground and added some much-needed bite to Newcastle’s midfield trio

7 Tonali: Looked much more comfortable playing as the central of the three midfielders – set up Isak’s opener

7 Willock: Was a big part of Newcastle’s successful pressing in the first half – looked much sharper than in previous displays

6 Gordon: Made a welcome return to the side, even if he didn’t look completely comfortable on the right

7 Isak: Scored Newcastle’s opener with a precise finish and helped set up the second with a deflected cross

8 Joelinton: Set the tone for Newcastle’s display with his aggressive pressing – looked better in a more advanced role
