Next Premier League manager to be sacked odds as Julen Lopetegui West Ham pressure cranks up
West Ham United manager Julen Lopetegui is now the favourite to be the next Premier League manager to be sacked this season, according to bookmakers.
The Hammers boss was under pressure going into Tuesday night’s Premier League game against Leicester City at the King Power Stadium. And the result of that match has only increased the pressure.
Jamie Vardy scored the opener within two minutes to put the Foxes ahead. Second half goals from Bilal El Khannouss and Patson Daka put the game beyond the reach of the Hammers despite Niclas Fulkrug’s 93rd minute goal.

The second half also heard chats of ‘sacked in the morning’ sung towards Lopetegui from the travelling West Ham fans, with the home supporters then joining in. The result leaves West Ham in 14th place, two points above their opponents in 15th.
Leicester are one of two teams to have made a managerial change so far this season. The match against the Hammers was the first for Ruud van Nistelrooy following the sacking of Steve Cooper just over a week ago.
Manchester United are the other team to have chanaged managers with Ruben Amorim replacing Erik ten Hag in the hot seat at Old Trafford.
Eyes are now on who may be next to leave his club. Bookmakers Ladbrokes and Coral (via Oddschecker), both have Lopetegui as the 11/8 favourite to be the next Premier League manager to be sacked, ahead of the likes of Russell Martin, Sea Dyche and Gary O’Neil with their teams all near the bottom of the table.
