Nicolas Kuhn shares Celtic dressing room stance on Adam Idah and Paulo Bernardo transfer chances

Nicolas Kuhn hopes to see both Adam Idah and Paulo Bernardo back at Celtic for the new season.

The Hoops are interested in taking the pair on permanent deals following loan stints from Norwich City and Benfica respectively last term. Each player had a successful spell in Glasgow in their own right under manager Brendan Rodgers and the clubs are in negotiations over the duo as they bid to bring them back full-time.

Kuhn himself arrived from Rapid Vienna back in January but wasted little time in getting to know and understand how both Idah and Bernardo played on the pitch and handled themselves off it.

He became pals with both and he's urged Celts to do their best to get both players in the door again.

On Idah, the German said: "Would I like to see him back? Of course. I think he gave me the first assist for my first goal here. It was a nice start for both of us. He’s a good player and we will see what happens.”

Speaking on Portuguese Bernardo he added: "I was quite close with Paulo. I would be happy if he came back. He is a great player. In the Scottish Cup final, he also had a special moment. It would be great to have him back."

We at Football Scotland exclusively told you how a £4million bid with add-ons for Irishman Idah was knocked back by the Canaries while Celtic remain in dialogue with the Eagles over Bernardo.
