Nottingham Forest boss Nuno names team to face Newcastle United at the City Ground
Head coach Nuno Espirito Santo has named his Nottingham Forest team to face Newcastle United in this afternoon’s Premier League clash.
The Reds go into the game on the back of a hat-trick of victories having seen off Crystal Palace, Leicester City and West Ham United. Goals from Chris Wood, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Ola Aina toppled the Hatters last time out to see Nuno’s side go third in the table.
That winning streak led to the Portuguese being crowned Premier League Manager of the Month for October, despite being banned from the touchline for those three games. He is back in the dugout today and will be keen for Forest to sign off in style before the international break.
Nuno has stuck with the same starting XI from last weekend’s triumph. Morato and James Ward-Prowse return to the bench after missing out against West Ham, with Eric da Silva Moreira and Harry Toffolo dropping out of the squad.
Ola Aina, Nikola Milenkovic, Murillo and Alex Moreno will make up the back line ahead of goalkeeper Matz Sels. Ryan Yates and Nicolas Dominguez keep their places in midfield.
Anthony Elanga, Morgan Gibbs-White and Callum Hudson-Odoi will support front man Chris Wood. The bench will be made up of Carlos Miguel, Morato, Neco Williams, Elliot Anderson, Taiwo Awoniyi, Ward-Prowse, Jota Silva, Ramon Sosa and Willy Boly.
Forest: Sels; Aina, Milenkovic, Murillo, Moreno; Yates, Dominguez; Elanga, Gibbs-White, Hudson-Odoi; Wood. Subs: Miguel, Morato, Williams, Anderson, Awoniyi, Ward-Prowse, Jota, Sosa, Boly.
