Nottingham Forest defender Murillo's brilliant form at the City Ground has resulted in him receiving his first call-up to the Brazil national team for November's international break.

The 22-year-old joins the likes of PSG's Marquinhos, Arsenal's Gabriel and Real Madrid's Eder Militao in the 23-man squad which shall face Venezuela and Uruguay in World Cup qualifiers. Murillo's call-up comes as his performance move from strength to strength in the East Midlands.

The Brazillian has not missed a single minute in the Premier League this season and it is this form which is thought to have caught the eye of Brazil head coach Dorival Jr. Murillo's call-up will only increase the attention on him from other clubs though including Real Madrid.

HITC has reported that Los Blancos have been scouring Europe for a centre-back to add to their ranks after missing out on Leny Yoro in the summer. Arsenal's William Saliba and Tottenham Hotspur's Cristian Romero are also believed to be on their radar.

While Murillo has been rewarded with his first call-up, Brazilian forwards Neymar Jr. and Endrick have missed out. Discussing why he did not pick the Real youngster, Dorival Jr. gave an indication as to why Murillo has been chosen.

"We have no time for training or to make players return in good form," the Brazil boss said on Endrick. "Are they performing or not? That’s the question to answer."

This indicates that Brazil feel Murillo is in good form hence why he has been given this opportunity to impress in South America. Before then, the defender's full focus will be on Forest and their clash with West Ham at the City Ground on Saturday.
