Olympic basketball women's semifinals: Bracket, schedule, how to watch at Paris Games
Following their win over Nigeria in the quarterfinals, the U.S. women's basketball team is just two wins away from an eighth consecutive gold medal. Their opponent in the semifinals will be Australia, who just took down Serbia by a final of 85-67.
While the entire United States team has been operating on a level above their opponents, stars Breanna Stewart and A'ja Wilson have been the two best players in the tournament. Through the group stage, both players scored double figures in each of the last two games, and while neither led Team USA in scoring in Game 3 against Germany (Jackie Young, 19), the U.S. had already secured their spot in the quarterfinals by then. Neither Stewart nor Wilson played their normal minutes.
The U.S. may be the most talented team in the tournament, but in the knockout stages, one bad day means death. The United States cannot afford to be off their game in the semifinals. Here's a full schedule, plus updated bracket for the Olympic women's basketball tournament.
