Omer Riza supports grieving Cardiff City star as striker makes his feelings clear
Callum Robinson has backed Omer Riza to take the Cardiff City job full-time, and says the current interim boss has played a crucial role in helping him overcome the grief of losing best friend George Baldock.
Robinson came off the bench to net a late equaliser, and was in the thick of things for Callum O'Dowda's dramatic stoppage-time winner, as City came produced a stunning late comeback to see off Norwich City at Cardiff City Stadium on Saturday.
It's result that extends Cardiff's unbeaten record to six games, and arguably strengthens Riza's claim to take the job full-time, an idea the striker himself appears to be fully behind.

"I think Riza's done an unbelievable job," Robinson said after the win over the Canaries. "I don't think there's a better manager out there form-wise since he took over.
"He's done a great job. Got us all confident again and got players on the pitch.
"It's nice to see the squad getting used, and they're coming in with the same mentality and wanting to do well. That's all we can ask for, and I think Riza's pushed that the whole squad is going to be used and that we need to be ready when it's your chance."
Robinson has struck five times since Riza took the reins at the end of September, with the 29-year-old seemingly one of several to have flourished under his guidance in recent weeks.
That run of form has come despite Robinson having to deal with the grief of losing close friend and former Sheffield United team-mate Baldock, and he says the support of his boss has been huge motivator.
"I think he's just a good person," he added. "Sometimes being a manager, the main thing is good man-management.
"He's given me my confidence back, got me in the right positions. Where I've played and scored goals in the past.

"He speaks to me about football and non-football stuff. I've had a not so good two or three weeks off the pitch with one of my best mates passing.
"Even with stuff like that he's texting to make sure I'm fine with everything that's going on. It's the little things. The small percentages, and he's probably doing that with a lot of the boys.
"That pushes you to want to do well for him, and I feel like all the boys have done that for him. Us as 20/25 lads couldn't have done anything more in the last three or four weeks for him. It's proved with the points we've picked up along the way.
"When you're on the pitch, things off the pitch have to get put aside because you're in the game and you have to try and affect the game, but I feel like he's definitely looking down on me at the moment.
"I've scored a few since he passed away, so I feel like he's blessing me at the moment, and hopefully that continues."
