Rangers remain locked in talks with Lens over the future of loan star Oscar Cortes - but reports in France suggest an outcome could be reached over the coming days.

The Colombian winger made a blistering impact at Ibrox following his January arrival before his season was curtailed early in March through injury. Gers' deal to take Cortes to Glasgow for the second half of the season included an option-to-buy but it's understood both clubs have been negotiating a reduced fee.

French outlet CanalRCN reports that a definitive decision is expected to be announced imminently with Philippe Clement keen to keep the 20-year-old beyond the summer. And if he's to stay permanently, then it's likely Lens will have to agree to a lower price due to the talented wide man's injury.

Clement confirmed last week that both clubs were in discussions but made it clear the Light Blues would only do business if the price was right.

The Belgian said: “We are talking with Lens about what the situation is because in this situation it is a different situation from when he was fit. At the moment he was fit he was showing the right things, but it was really short term. Then it needs to be at the right price.”
