Paul Pogba next club betting odds amid shock Man City link as clear transfer pathway emerges

Paul Pogba is on the lookout for a new club as he closes in on a return to football. The former Manchester United midfielder is currently a free agent following his exit from Juventus earlier this month.

The 31-year-old is serving an 18-month ban - reduced from four years - after failing an anti-doping test. He's able to return to training in January, before a return to competitive action is allowed from March.

Pogba himself has hinted on more than one occasion through social media that a transfer to a new club might be imminent. But exactly where that is has yet to be revealed.

United had even been touted as a possible destination by former striker Louis Saha. A potential return would be Pogba's third stint at Old Trafford - but that remains highly unlikely.

More recently, it has been reported that City had sounded out the midfielder for a possible move. However, Pep Guardiola's side are not considering a swoop for Pogba and there's no concrete interest from the club.

So, where could the World Cup winner actually end up next? According to the latest odds, from bookies Bet365, MLS franchise Inter Miami - co-owned by David Beckham - are favourites to complete a move with a price of 5/2.

Behind them are French side Marseille (4/1) and Brazilian side Corinthians (5/1). City are currently fourth favourites and the Premier League champions are priced at 6/1.

A move back to United is at 33/1. Other Premier League teams to feature on the list are; Newcastle United (20/1), West Ham United (20/1), Arsenal (25/1), Fulham (33/1), Chelsea (40/1) and Liverpool (50/1).
