Paul Pogba transfer latest: Man United return, new message, next club clue
Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba is on the lookout for a new club with the Frenchman hinting that a move could be imminent.
Pogba is currently a free agent after leaving Juventus earlier this season, prompting talk over his future. The player is currently serving an 18-month ban from football after failing an anti-doping test.
He was originally given a four year suspension, but that has since been reduced. It means that he will be able to return to competitive action in March. Pogba has spent two separate spells at United. He came up through the youth team, before returning in 2016, he left for Juventus in the summer of 2022.

It has been suggested that he could be set for a third spell at Old Trafford. Former striker Louis Saha saying: "I've heard some rumours that Paul Pogba will be offered the opportunity to come back and train with Man Utd in the New Year, and I think that would be a great opportunity for Paul.
“He needs to get back to his best level as quickly as possible, and training with top players will help him to do that. I think he would be thrilled to have the opportunity to go back to the club."
With that in mind, here’s the latest on the 31-year-old’s future.
Cryptic clue
Taking to social media on Friday night, Pogba hinted that a move to a new club could be coming soon. On his Instagram story, he posted an hourglass emoji, followed by a zipped mouth and stuck out tongue emoji.
The midfielder will able to return to training with a new team next month. But his return to competitive action won’t come until March.
Next club hint
It’s not the first time over the last few days that Pogba has hinted that something could be getting close. A few days earlier he posted to Instagram with a caption that read: “Loading…” with an hourglass emoji.
In the picture he is wearing a Brazil shirt, with fans of Corinthians flocking to the comments section to push for a move to the Brazilian side.
Manchester United return
United are one of the clubs that have been touted as a possoble destination for the French midfielder, with talk over a third stint at Old Trafford. However, former United defender Wes Brown has talked down the possibility.
"I'm not sure about Paul Pogba coming back to United for a third time," he said.
"I can't see it happening. Paul, obviously, as an individual player, he's absolutely class. I've always loved how he played. Again, he gets a lot of stick, but there is no doubting his ability as an individual.
"Being out for 18 months will be tough for him – it will take him some time to get back to the levels we've seen him produce before. I know he'll be training somewhere, but it's a bit different training in isolation, not being around world-class players.
"Someone will definitely pick him up, no doubt about it, but I can't see it's going to be Man United if I'm being honest."
Juventus exit
Pogba parted ways with Juventus at the start of the month, meaning he is now available on a free transfer. The midfielder is free to speak to teams about a possible contract, with a deal able to be done outside of the transfer window due to him being a free agent.
